of her gr-father OLIVER FRANK VAUGHAN who died in 1960 in Cherokee Co TX. His
parents were OLIVER COLUMBUS (LUM) VAUGHAN and EFFIE FRISHLEY.

ARMEL PAULINE (m. JESSIE BROWN).
Oliver m-2 SUSIE VAUGHAN (1st cousin). Their son was FRANKLIN LEE. Susie Vaughan
was the d/o GEORGE WASHINGTON and MARY VAUGHAN.
Oliver Columbus & George Washington were sons of NATHAN JAMES VAUGHAN & DELILA SAP.

about LEWIS VAUGHN who married a Mrs. BROWN (widow), whose maiden name was KING.
There is a Lewis Vaughn listed in the 1850 TN census with wife Mary and son JOEL,
one year old—but these have not yet been positively identified as the correct
family. Lewis and wife had sons JOEL CALHOUNE and WILLIAM (d. in TX—no children).
JOEL CALHOUNE m. CENTHIA ANN O'NEAL in 1873 in Crittenden Co KY. His half-brother,
from his mother's first marriage, married a sister of Centhia.
About 1885 Joel and family moved to Izard Co AR where he died about 1906.

James has researched Reuben, Herod, and William Hood Vaughan. Mi 11 lam Hood and
his three wives lived in Osage, Maries, and Miller Cos MO.
Herod left his children probably in IL where his 1st wife Nancy Murphy died 1860.

descends from Herod's marriage to Nancy Murphy. He has the history of brothers
John B. and Andrew who settled in and around Maries and Miller Cos MO.
Herod married next NANCY ELIZABETH BOONE (MCGRIFF) ca 1865. Her children W111 be
found around Iberia, MO under the name of LEWIS.
