four men named Vaughn or Vaughan came to Fayette Co IL-family tradition said from Texas.
Their names were:
ROBERT A. H. b. 1826 m. JANE ENOCHS
HENRY C. • b. 1830 m. RACHEL—-
ENOCH b. 1834 m. MARIAH—
JAMES R. b. 1837 m. SALLY BECH
All were born in SC and parents in VA. I believe all were brothers and came from the Houston,
TX area. They may have had some Indian ancestry—not sure. Janes and Sally had a daughter
DELILAH who married GEORGE C. DANICH—my great grandparents. I have been unable
to find any promising leads for research and would appreciate hearing from anyone who has any
information." According to F.E.'s mother, there were relatives in Texas as recently as 1920.

saying that she had found a clue in EARL chandler's material in the November issue about "her"

FONLkES, d/o JOHN FOULKES, Amelia Co VA. was probably wife of THOMAS HUDSON.
father of WILLIAM H. HUDSON, Sr who married ELIZABETH VAUGHAN d/o NICHOLAS
VAUGHAN, Nottoway Co VA. Thomas Hudson, John Fowlkes (and others), and Nicholas
Vaughan all paid tax in that county in the same year. Are there any VAU6HAN/FOHLKES7FOLKS
ties? (See her chart, p. 60, 1986 issue)

O'BRlEN VAUGHN received an Inquiry about 1912-15 from a A. WERNER (HOERNER?) in
Chicago who was doing research for a Vaughn Family History and wanted the nanes of
DANIEL ROOKE VAUGHN's descendants. She sent the information to him. Has anyone
heard of A. Werner or his History?????
