VAUGHN, b c1860 6A, listed in the 1860 census. Dyer, Saline Co AR in the household of a
REUBEN VAUGHN. In 1880, he was listed with wife Caroline (RUTH CAROLINE DODD)
and children WILLIAM, CYNTHIA JANE, JAMES T., JOHN, BENJAMIN T., ELMYRA
(ALICE). They also had children JOE & EVIE. After wife Caroline's death, James married
MARTHA CALDWELL who had a son MONROE. Children of James and Martha were:
LEWIS, MACK, ARTHUR, FRANK, & ARENA. BENJAMIN T., b 1878 in AR,
m. MARY SUSAN MERRIOTT in 1902. Their children; HAZEL ELLER (m. HENRY
O'DANIEL) (parents of Geneva), HOYT ERVIN, HERMAN ISAAC, SALLIE C.,
HARVEY M., AND WYLIE H.

SARAH EVANS GRAVES.—rhe Vaughns of Lancaster, Garrard Co KY were Sarah's
mother's family. That is all that Evelyn knows. Can someone help her?

and wife REBECCA SULLIVAN, b NC, either Warren or Wilkes County. Their children:

(known around KY as Bad Billy) William & Rebecca must have each been married previously
as there are family stories that mention several half brothers and sisters. One history states that
they went to the Raccoon section of Laurel Co KY in the early 1800's. Wilma has not been able
to connect this family with other Vaughn families in KY. William may have gone from NC, through
TN, into KY. Son of James & Delciny Vaughn Hodges remembers going to KY on a ferry boat
from Tennessee.

information.She searches for help with the family of THOMAS CLAYTON VAUGHN, b 1845
d 1912). She believes his first wife was FRANCIS. Their children were CLAYTON, b 1912
d 1977, RAINEY, & FANNIE. His second wife was EMMA CHILDRESS, b 1872 d 1957.
Their children: BURTIS WILLIAM, b 1892 d 1972, JEWEL, LILA, & VERLON b 1910.
The family lived in Joaquin, Shelby Co TX.

(d1837) m MARY UNKNOWN. They lived St. Helena Parish, LA when son JOEL LEVI was
b 1811. JOEL m CINTHIA CAUSEY (b 1815 Amite MS) ca1835 in Yazoo Co MS.Children;
MARY SUSANNE, GEORGE WILLIAM, JOEL LEVI (both killed Civil War), JAMES
THEODOR d 1845, THOMAS COLUMBUS m FRANCES ELIZABETH MCCOLLUM,
CECELIA AZALEE, CINTHIA AMAZON, and CALDONA ALZADY. All b 1815-1854.
Cinthia's parents were F. WILLIAM CAUSEY, from Calway in Ireland and died 1844 Amite
Co MS, and SUSANNAH JACKSON (b 1789 in MS, d. 1855).
LEE E. VAU6HAN, 1805 Kenwood Aye, Charles City, IA 50616 is a descendant of the
immigrant (?) ROBERT VAUGHAN who settled in Huntingdon Co PA in 1780-81, according
to Simpson Africa in his book "History of Huntingdon County" published in 1883.
