WILSON VAUGHAN, 126 Oleander Dr. Panama City Beach. FL 32407.  who has had great
help from readers -in locating information on his line of Vaughans (1984 and 1986 Issues), now
hopes someone can help his wife Reba locate the Texas burial place of her grandparents. Dr.
JOHN W. KING, who died ca1879, and wife who died ca1875,  migrated to Jefferson,
Marion Co or Paris, Lamar Co, TX where a son was born in 1874. Reba promised her dad
before his death in 1943 that they would try to locate the graves of his parents in Texas, but as
yet they have had no success. Can you suggest sources that they might pursue?

SHIRLEY WIHKELHOCH, 4116 Rinzetta Or, St. Louis. HO 63129   says her last known
Vaughn Is ENOS or ENNIS VAU6HN, m. 1809 Ad air Co KY to ELEANOR LINK.
They moved to the St. Louis area in early 1820's where they died.  The remainder of the
family settled mostly in Franklin Co MO.  There was possibly another Enos (Ennis) Vaughn
whom she has found in Madison Co KY.  She has data on him but does not believe he is her
Enos whose son JAMES E. is her ancestor.  There have been a number of Enos Vaughns
listed in the Newsletter.  Do any of them seem to connect to herancestor?

early 1800's.  Does anyone know the names of the parents of Jonathan or Martha?

The Huntington Advocate newspaper columns written in 1981 by Byron  Morris, 912 Poplar
St, Kenova, W.VA 25530, which deal. with the hold-up of the Huntington Bank in 1878 by
the James gang. For you James Gang "Buffs", this story is a treasure to add to your horde.
Opal's dad was born in that area of W.VA and lived there during the time of the bank robbery.
If you want copies, send Opal about a dollar fifty to cover cost of printing and postage.
(When I began this newsletter, I never realized that it would be branching off into the James
legends! vb).

Experienced researchers have suggested that it is a wise practice to include when possible probable
dates, names, places when giving clues to families.County names along with community or town
names can often be of great help because this win alert others searching a particular area.  A US
atlas or state map will help identify counties. When possible, I look up some of these for contributors
but I am not always able to pin point the exact county and am reluctant to state the incorrect one if
I am not familiar with the area. Family nicknames can be good clues, too.
