descendants of LEMUEL VAUGHAN, age 52, Hanover- Co VA in 1850. His children were
JNO T. 20, MARGARET A. 18, T. BENTON 16, EMELIAR T. 13, CORELLA 10,
OPHELIA 7. She also would like to correspond with descendants of LEMUEL VAUGHAN
who lived in Isle of Wight Co VA in 1830. She has found the following Vaughans living in the
same West District township as the above Lemuel in Hanover Co VA in 1850: BENJAMIN,
BOLLINGS, CATHERINE.MARGARET, JAMES W., MAJOR J.H., WILLIAM A.,
& MATHEW. Do you recognize any of these people? Drusilla has furnished me with a half
dozen names of people who have or may •in the future become contributors of information.

appreciated J. Gary's work.James descends from two MALINDA VAUGHN/VAUGHANS
(see 1986 Newsletters), and he has just recently begun to make some progress on his second
Malinda Vaughn. Although some of the present data is unproved, evidence is strong enough
to convince him that he is on the right track. What do you think?

NANCY N., and children SARAH, JOHN W., JOEL, HARDY N., MARY A.,
and probably Mother MARY VAUGHN, age 67, born in SC.
CHARLES C. OWENS. 930 E. Bralnard St., Pensacola, FL 32503 continues to search
for the parents of MARY MARGARET VAUGHN, b SC about 1810, and in 1833/4
married in AL JOHN ABNER BARKER.

JOHN HART, Rt 1. Box 27-B, Gentry. AR 72734 searches for the JAMES VAUGHAK
family of western AR and eastern OK.He was born ca 1857/58 in AR where
he lived in Sebastian and possibly Logan counties. He married DIANA
ANTHONY, and they later moved to LeFlore Co OK where he died ca 1927.
