and MARY MELODY of Ireland. Michael died 15 Feb 1916 in Independence. Informant for

JAMES McGAW & BRUIENIDA DAVIS(?) Mary died 23 June 1928. Informant: L.A.

JOHNSTON VAUGHAN. Shirley is particularly interested in trying to trace a Mrs.
Vaughan who lives in Alabama and whose Vaughan line goes back to Amelia Co VA.
The person telling her about the lady only knew that much. She believes her own line also
has roots in Amelia Co. All letters will be answered. She has court papers, etc. to exchange.
MICHAEL WYNNE. Sr, Rt 4. Box 384, PineviHe, LA 71360 has traced his Vaughan
ancestry to JAMES VAUGHAN, Sr (1S31?-1901) who, according to MO census records,
was from TN. James is believed to be the son of WILLIAM VAUGHAN, probably a native
of TN, whose will was probated in 1846 in Springfield, Greene Co MO. Census records
also indicate that JAMES may have had at least 2 brothers: SETH, b ca1836, and JOHN,
b ca 1840. James married MARY COX in 1853 in Springfield, and they had 13 children.
James and Mary Vaughan later resided in Rockport and Corpus Christi, TX and Los Angeles,
CA. Wynne has information on all of the descendants of James and Mary and is seeking more
info on James" ancestry and siblings.
