Nos. 12 & 13 -- have not been able to find this family on 1860 census. In 1840 they lived in Henry Co.,
GA. In 1850 they were in Benton Co. (now Cleburne Co.) AL. In 1870 the widowed Sarah and two of
her daughters lived next door to the son John Wesley, his wife and daughter in Heard Co., GA. The
Heard Co. Courthouse burned in 1894 along with all of their records. I presume that John W. and
Margaret were married in heard Co. as her parents had lived there more than 20 years. It is likely that
both John and Sarah are buried in Heard Co., but I have not been able to confirm that. I have i
nformation that john died at 45 years of age and Sarah died at 50 or 60. John W. moved back to (now)
Cleburne Co., AL, before 1876 as No. 3 Maud was their first child born in AL. The child before her
was born in 1873 in GA.
I am seeking information concerning any of these Vaughn related families, brothers and sisters or any
of their families.
Children of John J. and Sarah: Mary E., b. 1840; Frances J., b. 1843; John Wesley, b. 15 Oct 1845;
Martha, b. 1850; Sarah; and another son. Sarah and the son must have died young.
John Wesley and Margaret's children: Lela Temperance, b. 24 Feb 1868; ______, b. 1870; Charles H.,
b. Sep 1871; Mary Lou, b. Sep 1873 (all born in Heard Co., GA); Maud, b. 30 may 1876; Ada,b. 1879;
Sam, b. 1880; James Wesley, b. 16 Mar 188*; Emma, b. Jan 1885 (these b. Cleburne Co., AL).

I found this family in 1860 in Pike Co., GA. Chances are that John J. is not buried in Heard Co., GA.

Richard Pinckney and Nancy Jane moved with their son from Calhoun Co., MS and homesteaded
a plot of land around 1857 in Calhoun Co., AR. Here they built a log cabin, part of which is still
standing in the old Naval Ammunition Dept. Area. They had eight children which married and
lived around in the same community. He was active in Mason.

b. 1796, NC. Her siblings were: BENJAMIN, b. 1821; CHARLES, 1821-1884; WILLIAM, b. 1835.
Stella and I have tried without success to contact DENSON whose last known address was: 903 Kings-
bridge, Houston, TX 77073. The Newsletter was returned with the notation, "Moved". Does anyone
know how to contact her?
