VAUGHN BRYANT, Rt 19, Box 253, Hot Springs Nati Park, AR 71913 gava me a laugh when
he 'bragged' that his ancestor THOMAS VAUGHAN, (see June 1986 Newsletter) was "smart"
enough to never arise above private but faithfully served for 41 months guarding prisoners. No hero-
"but he survived! (Guess everyone can't descend from tho decorated heroes[)   Vaughn's letters are
a real pleasure. He hopes to trace Thomas' family back from his birth in Albemaria Co VA, ca l756—
and also to find where Thomas and wife Abigail settled near Crab Orchard.
