MRS. EDA ELIZABETH PUCKETT of Barnhill Twp. was one of the old citizens of this county and was among
the first of the early settlers.  She was 80 years of age on Saturday before her death on Sunday.  Born in Tenn.,
she came to this county with her parents in 1839.  Her maiden name was Vaughan and she was married to T. H.
Puckett in 1840.  To them were born 11 children, 7 of whom survive their mother.  The husband of the deceased
preceded her in death 23 years.  Up to within a few weeks of her death she had been strong and well.  The remains
 were interred in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Eda Elizabeth Puckett who lived in the south part of the county died Sunday morning.  The deceased was
one of the old citizens of the neighborhood.  She leaves 4 brothers, 1 sister 5 sons, 2 daughters and a number of
grandchildren and great grandchildren.

VIRGINIA ANDERSON, 207 S. E. 6th, Fairfield, IL 62837 has graciously shared the research she and MARY VAUGHAN PERKINS have Collected on the families listed in the above ancestral chart.  This research contains detailed family sheets
(3 of them abstract here), with accompanying proof, such as wills, settlements and newspaper notices.  Patricia needs the maiden name of PRISCILLA, wife of WILLIAM VAUGHAN, whose estate was in Brunswick Co VA in May Court 1754.
 Also, who were the parents of WILLIAM SR. ?
