When we were in Hawkins County, TN last spring, we photocopied the General Index pages
from a set of deeds books pre-1890. The staff at the County Clerk's office was very helpful
in assisting us with this copying. If you would like copies of any of the original deeds, write:
Hawkins County Clerk, Rogersville, TN 37857. Include a large SASE plus $2 or more per
copy. I am not sure of their charges.
Other names listed along with Vaughans were Venable, Vance, Vernon, Vogel, Viede, Varnum,
Varnon, Vandevanter, Valentine and Vincent. If you are interested in any of these names, send
me a SASE and I will give you the data on them.
