H. Vaughan Griffin, Shoreham, VT, 1959, on the descendants of JOHN VAUGHAN who
arrived at Newport, RI by 20 May 1638--he .-lay have cone from the Plymouth Colony.
He 3arried GILLIAN, and their children vera JOHN, 1644, DAVID 1646, GEORGE 1650,
dANI3L 1653, and MARK 1658. DANIEL  m  MERCY BAILEY and had children: WAITE
1743, BABBARA 1745, JESSE 1747, ALMY 1749, WILLIAM 1752, HULDAH 1755,
JOHANNAH 1757, RUFUS 1759, EUNICE 1762.  JESSE, s/o Daniel, m ca 1769 PHEBE
KASEY (7). He left a will datad 1822. DANIEL, s/o Jesse, m. PHEBE MOWRY of Coventry,
CO in 1799.  Doris's questions: Verification of wife of the original Daniel as MERCY BAILEY?
Surname of Phebe who m ca 1769 to Jesse?  Parents of Phebe Mowry of Coventry who m Daniel
 in Feb 1799?  There are three typed pages of information on this family line, parts of which will
be published in future issues. If you would like to have all of it, send me a SASE plus some extra

wonders if Vaughn/Vaughan possibly is a modern spelling for VAHNE. She has been told (and she thought her Vahne ancestor was French) that if it is French, it aay be spelled VENNE or VANIER. Her gr grandmother was ADALINE VAHNE b 1806 in VT.She carried FRANCIS B. BLAIR ca 1841. Adaline vahne's mother was Mary ___?. The family was in Adams Co WI by 1860.   Are the Vahne. Vaughn/Vaughan names connected?

ALTON. ORR. 4619 Holt St., Bellaire, TX 77401    needs to know the names of the parents and
siblings of WOODY (spelling?) VAOGHAN, supposedly b in VA. He and wife SARAH (SALLY)
 FARRAR were in Mecklenburg Co VA in 1810. He reportedly moved to NC where he d in 1813.
 Their son GEORGE ALBERT n. MARY MCDANIEL. Then their son JAMES WOODY m
CYNTHIA A. WILMOUTH. Alton lives near the Clayton Library in Houston; but until he has more definite facts, he is more or less stumbling in the dark. Help??

for 1797-1850 Puiaski Co KY, Book 1, researched by Mary Weddle Kaurish and compiled
by the Puiaski Co Historical Society;

There were several listed with the name VAUGHT,  Josephine has always been told that her
 family was related to the Vaughns, but no one ever knew how. This has to be on the BURGE LINE, so if any readers ever knew of a VAUGHN that carried a BURGE, please let her know.

THELMA TROOST, 708 Kingsley Ave, St. Joseph, MI 49085   would like to learn the nanes of
the parents of ELIZABETH POLLY VAUGHN WARNER, b 1838 New Castle PA, d 1895
Calhoun Co MI. Her death certificate does not give their navies. Her brother ANSON
VA-JGHN, who enlisted in the Civil War at Janesville. WI, d at Lees Mills, VA in 1862 of typhoid
