VAUGHAN who m PENELOPE Z. ALVIS, b 1846. Their children were JESS, TOMMY,
AND GREEN. This was told to him, and all he has on them is that they moved to TX in early
life. Can you supply him with more facts?

1877 be married LETITIA JANE RILEY in MO in 1860. Their children: EVA, CLARA,
DAISEY, IDA, WILLIAM. ZORA, GEORGE, & BELLA. George's father JOSHUA
VAUGHN was b cal805 in VA and died sometime after 1880 in MO. He ml ELIZABETH
(b 1813 VA). Children; WILLIAM, ANDREW, ELIAS, MARTHA, IRMA, JANE, JOSEPH,
ELIZABETH S MARY. He m2 SUSAN BIRDSOHG, b cl880 in TN and d after 1880 in
Miller Co MO. Children of 2nd marriage: MILSON, GEORGE, PHOEBE, & JEFFERSON
DAVIS. All were born in MO except for George who was b in CA. They went to CA for the
Gold Rush, and then later returned to MO. He hopes to find someone else who knows more
about this family.

M.A. or MARY ANN VAUGHAN (wife of W.C.), formerly CHESTNUTT received Nov 1855.
She was dismissed Mar 1849, or either she left; or Reba says she made a mistake copying (neveri).

Grove, TN. He m. LOUISA SHOEMAKER LACKLIN (widow of JAMES LACKLIN) in 1852.
She had 6 children by her first marriage and 4 by the second. Louisa was b in 1823 in Henrico Co
VA and d 1877. According to Davies Co KY history: BURRELL A. VAUGHN enlisted in Capt.
Noel's company. Confederate Calvary and was killed at the Battle of Cumberland Gap. Anyone
have further information about this family?
LEROY VAUGHN was received into Big Springs Baptist Church, near Niota, McMinn Co TN
September 1851 (Boyer).
