From FRANKLIN CO TN HISTORICAL REVIEW, Vol. XV, f2, 1984: Members of the Winchester
Band, resplendant in their uniforms, are pictured on the courthouse lawn in July of 1904. One member
 was JOHN VAUGHAN (tenor horn). Another picture shows MINNIS COLEMAN and her primary
department students outside the old Winchester Normal School building, about 1910. One pupil was
 MYRA VAUGHN.

THE HILL CO GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY publishes a quarterly THE CROSSORADS which

THE CALDWELL FAMILY NEWSLETTER deals with descendants of two Caldwell brothers,
David and Alexander who shared the difficult and tumultuous Rev. War years. Mrs. Betty Caldwell

The TEXAS CO MISSOURI GENEALOGICAL AND HISTORICAL SOCIETY (organized Oct.
1983) in Houston, MO 65483 plans to publish records found in their county courthouse which are not
available elsewhere. Members' queries, their names and addresses, and the lines they are researching
will also be printed. Other materials include Bible, school and church records, and family histories. Free
queries printed in four area newspapers are for members only. For non-local members, a three-item
search will be done for one surname- An index for five-generation charts will assist in putting members
 in touch with others in their line (lines). Write for details.

COLOR FILM-DISASTER FOR GENEALOGISTS: It is a known fact that color prints and
negatives will not last. If you are taking color photos, your descendants in 100 years could possess
only blank pieces of paper. The rate of deterioration depends on what paper the photos were printed
on and also how they are stored. The final insult is that plastics, such as photo albums are made of.,
 make them fade quicker. The only way to save color photos for later generations is to have them
copied ir. black and white. And don't forget to write the names on the back;
