EVELYN WOLF, Rt 1, McDade, TX 78650 has a book published by the Franklin Co TN  Gen.
Society which lists cemetery records for that county. If you send her a SASE,  She will look for anyone
you think might be buried there.

MICHAEL WYNNE, Rt 4, Box 384, Pineville, LA 71360 hopes to get others searching his line to
help compile a complete family history. He has facilities to safely and quickly copy materials which he
will return with the enclosura of SASE. The 1860 census in Campbell Township, Greene Co MO lists
JAMES VAUGHAN b cal831 and his wife and children EMMA, JOSEPH, JAMES JR. and his
younger brother JOHN. According to the census of Greene and surrounding counties, there were many
Vaughans born in TN who immigrated to MO. Later James and family moved to Corpus Caristi, TX
and his wife MARY (COX or COCKS) and their dau SUSAN became members of the Presbyterian
church there in 1875. James's brothers were SETH b 1836 and JOHN b ca 1840. Their father william's
will was probated 7-11-1846 in Springfield, Greene Co MO.

LYHN MCCONKEY, 317 Greenwood Cr., Madisonville, TN 37354, who saw the NEWSLETTER
which I left in the Monroe Co Library, says that in doing genealogical research she has worked on
different Vaughn lines in East TN. She says she would be happy to help readers in this area and maybe
exchange some information- Her main interest is the "WITT" surname, and has three VAUGHN/WITT
connections in the 1850-70 time period. She has also done research on the Confederate Brig, Gen.
JOHN CRAWFORD VAUGHN who was a very colorful and interesting man whose personal history
is intriguing, to say the least. His parents were JAMES VAUGHN b 1799 and JUNE CRAWFORD
b 1796.

O'VAUGHAN GAYDEN, 1028 Glen Grattan, Apt. II, Montgomery, AL 36111 is another descendant
of BENJAMIN VAUGHAN b 1805 whose family information was given in the July edition by Rebecca
Vaughan, 304 S. Union, Bolivar, TM 38008. She has heard that Benjamin ran a ferry, but has no proof.
Do you? Please contact her if you have any information on this family.

JANET SPENCER, 1103 Syble Dr, f8, Bastrop, LA 71210 would like to find out more about her
grandfather ROBERT HARRISOM VAUGHAN b 1916 and d Nov 1984. His father's name was
JESSIE HOLLOWAY VAUGHAN, SR and his mother was MILDREN MCGEE. Robert's
siblings were JACK, HOWARD, JESSIE JR, MILDREN & BERTHA; and he re. EULA RUSSELL
in 1936. They had one child SHIRLEY JEAN.

ROY F. BLAIR, Rt 4, Box 215, Union SC needs data on ROBERT VAUGHN, listed in the 1850
Census, Union Dist., SC, fam. 611. In same census, under JAMES PAGE'S (b.SC) family (it985) is
JOHN VAUGHN, age 79 and JUDITH, age 68—both listed as born in VA, Presumably, this couple
was James Page's mother-in-law and father-in-law.Just above James page's household, is listed
WILLIAM PAGE family (^984) with William as b in VA. The Page family probably moved to SC
between births of William and James Page.   Who were the children of John S Judith Vaugnn'? His
parents?

JOSH VAOGHAN. P.O. Box 288, VA. Beach, VA 23458 has names GRAHDISON amd
SHADRACK VAUGHAN in his "family tree".   He has heard that VAUGHAH was originally
DE VAUN--Norman-?rench and anglicized some years later. That's another twist!
