John Henry Vaughan supposedly rode with Jesse James, John Wesley Hardin, and the Dalton gang, and
used aliases: Bill Hooker, Williams, Odom, and Joe Vaughan.
John Henry & Mary Jane were married in or near Joplin, MO. They bought the license
In Neosha, and were married in Granby.
Walter’s widow, Lizzie, who is said to be 99 yrs old, resides in a nursing home in Bryan, TX. She has
vivid memories of the life & times of John Wesley.
John Henry had a brother named JOBE VAUGHAN.
Johnny, last son of John Henry, can tell many stories about the family.
