MARGARET SINCLAIR, 3827 Mary Lee Dr., Memphis, TN 38116 found a book in the Wheeler
Basin Library,  Decatur, AL, which states that KITTIE (dau of THOMAS WILCHER & ANNE
WALTOM(7) m THOMAS VAUGHAN.  Their children: THOMAS, JR., POLLY HAMMOND,
STIRLING,  AARON, ALBERTA.  Thomas Wilcher's estate settlement named KITRIECEf?)
VAUGHAN. Maybe somebody has a Bible or something which will help document connections
between VAUGHANS. WILCHERS, HAMMONDS, and HEFLINS.

HAYWOOD VAUGHAN, 518 2nd Ave NW, Ardmore, OK 73401 has letters of his gr grand-
parents and info on GEORGE WAVERLY who was a scout for J.E.B. STUART during the Civil
War.  He also wrote that in 1813 THOMAS VAUGHAN m LENA ELLINGTON in Prince
Edward Co. VA.  Their children: BURRELL, GUS, HENRY ALLEN, JOHN, ELLA, maybe
others. Henry s John were doctors.Henry Alien m. CORDELIA HENDERSON LOVE, 1840, in
VA. Children; NORWOOD, 1842-1864; WILLIAM LOVE, 1843-1937; GEORGE WAVERLY, 1844-1884; THEODORA MARIA, 1853-1939; DELIA GERTRUDE,  1849-1876; MARGARET
ANNA, 1854-1943.Children of GEORGE WAVERLY s MARY (Molly) DARTHULIA JEFFREYS:

antecedents of HENRY CLAYTON VAUGHAN, b in NC in 1808 (presumably SE SC), and who m
LUCINDA COOK, b. 1802(?).  They went to GA almost immediately after their marriage.  Any
info appreciated.   He also wonders if anyone can help with the EPPS line.  SAMUEL DABMEY
KEY m ELIZABETH EPPS on 24 Dec 1829. She had previously been married to a Vaughan.

IDELL VAUGHAN, Rt. 1, Box 288, West Plains, MO 65775 has searched for years for f. of  JOHN •.•A.'G:--i.'), b 1805 in TN. He m NANCY MATLOCK in 1827 in Washington Co TN. SHERWOOD
VAUG:-^A:i lived near the Matlock family. There is the name Sherwood in every generation of the family
from John to the present. Could Sherwood have been f/o John? EDA MATLOCK, sister of Nancy m WILLIAM VAUGHAN. Sherwood Vaughan m ELIZABETH HALE/HAIL in 1815 (maybe Sherwood's
2nd marriage). Sherwood and Mary Vaughan sold land in Washington Co TN. Was she 1st wife or sister?

census; Rev. War, received land for serving 3 years. Sold land and paid taxes in 1799 in Washington Co
TN. Idell sent family sheets for John Vaughan and Nancy Matlock and descendants. Will try to print some

THOMAS ELLIS HOBGOOD. Children: LEWIS (m SARAH JANE TOWNSEND); ISABELLE
 (m R.L. "DICK" TOWNSEND.    ISABELLE VAUGHAN is buried at Nebo, Hopkins Co KY in
union Graveyard. Her parents may have been APIS VAUGHAN and MARY "POLLY" O'BRIANT.

VAUGHAN & NANCY CALLICOTT, through their son SAMUEL who m MALVINA CHURCH.
She sent well documented family sheets from those ancestors to present day. If you are one of the lucky
ones to come from these ancestors, here is another good source. Seems we have more information on
this line than any other. The book VAUGHAN PIONEERS has helped with this.
