These dates were taken from a Bible that belon9ed to Amanda Vaughan,  It is now in the possession of RHEUBEN VAUGHAN, who at his death passed it onto his sister NAOMI in Gadsden, AL.  There is
also recorded that the father of Thomas Vaughan was BENJAMIN. His mother was CAROLINE JORDAN. 
A brother AUGUSTUS and wifs MARTHA with children CAROLINE, JAMES. & WILLIAM were listed living next door in the 1880 Morgan Co AL census The writer also has information  on the BARBER lines if
you are interested.

ROBERT 0. VAUGHAN, 1065 Dotta Drive, Eiko, NV  89801 is a descendant of WILLIAM T.
VAUGHAN who lived in Wayne Co WV prior to 1830., £ of nine children, one of whom was
THOMAS J. VAUGHAN. who m ELIZABETH S. Sampson in 1850.  In 1857 they moved to Layne
Co OR where they lived the rest of their lives.  Children:  PHOEBE E. MEXERS, BENJAMIN
F. VAUGHAN, OREN VAUGHAN, OLIVE BOLL1N, MARTHA SIMMONS. ORELLA VAUGHAN, MARY J. KLEIN.EMMA SHUMATE, JEREMIAH VAUGHAN, ALTA G. VAUGHAN S LI2ZIS BARBER.  OREN m. JANE WINES  and lived their lives in Ruby Valley. NV.  Their children:  ROY VAUGHAN, GUY VAUGHAN,   VERA LEMBACH. BETH RICHARDSON, AMD STILLMAM VAUGHAN,    Who m. CLARA MILLER.

JAMES E. VAUGHN, Route One, State Hwy 1304, Pelaplaine, AR 72425 nay be related to the
above ROBERT 0, VAUGHAN because their stories about migration of a group from the Platte County
 area of Missouri in 1848 seem to be the same.  James said that WILLIAM TYLER VAUGHAN lead
this group.  James lists his basic family tree as;

He also sent information about the movie careers of his cousins ALBERTA and ADAMAE VAUGHN
Their parents were CHARLES VAUGHN and MARTHA SHEPPARD.  Charles was killed in a rail-
road accident around 1920.  The girls were taken to Hollywood by their mother after they won a talent
contest at the Keith-Albee Theatre in Huntington, KY.  They became known as the "Wampus Baby Stars"
and both appeared later In numerous films in the 1920's and 30's.  Alberta, who lives at 13017 Woodbridge. Studio City, CA 91604, had the female lead in several movies, including "Randy Rides Alone" with John
Wayne and "Daring Danger" with Tim McCoy.  Adamae appeared in "The Arizona Streak" with Tom Tyier
and other Warner Bros. pictures.

COL. RALPH E. PEARSON, 2218 Alta Vista, Austin, TX 78704 who writes a genealogy column for
the "Cedar Park News" has this information on the family of JAMES VAUGHAN, SR and NANCY HATCHETT of TN.  According to the 1860 census, Campbell Twp., Green Co, MO. James  [b 1821)
was . from TN.  His wife MARY COCKEM (b 1823) was also from TN.  All children b. in MO.  He was
 listed as a "tinner" and hotel keeper.  It is believed they moved to Corpus Christi, TX in early 1870's. 
Children:  EMMA 1854; JOSEPH 1856; JAMES 1858; MARY "MAZIE" 1861-1902 m in 1884
EDWARD HARPER WYNNE; SUSAN 1864 (also mentioned in records First Presbyterian Church
Corpus Christi in 1875); ROBIN 1868; FRANK 1870.  Col. Pearson is the uncle of the wife of ROBERT
0. VAUGHAN of Elko. NV.
