Charles Vaughan was born around 1818 in County Cork, Ireland. It is believed that Charles immigrated to the US between 1845 and 1850. He married Mary Walsh either on the east coast of the US or possibly Minnesota. He was in Minnesota by 1857. He lived the remainder of his life in Cedar Lake Township, Scott Co., MN. He died in Rochester, MN 15 Mar 1903.
Charles Vaughan and Mary Walsh had three children:1) Johanna Vaughan, born 5 July 1859 at Cedar Lake Twp., Scott Co., MN. She married James Geehan. She died 13 Oct 1937 at Cedar Lake.2) John Michael Vaughan, born 7 May 1862 at Cedar Lake. He married Bridget Reedy. He died 4 Sep 1938 in Spring Lake Twp., Scott Co., MN.3) Edward Vaughan, born 3 Oct 1864 in Cedar Lake. He was not married and he died 16 Sep 1922 in North Dakota. John Michael Vaughan and his wife, Bridget Reedy were married 27 May 1890 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Spring Lake Twp., Scott Co., MN. They had eight children:1) Mary (Minnie) Vaughan (1891-1976)2) Mark James Vaughan (1893-1958)3) John Francis Vaughan (1895-1962)4) Joseph Charles Vaughan (1897-1973)5) Helen (Sr. Therese) (1900-1963)6) Elizabeth (Sr. Angela) (1902-1994)7) Johanna Vaughan (1905-1909) Joseph Charles Vaughan's son, Joseph M Vaughan (born 1936) was the person tested.
