John or David VAUGHAN born circa 1787 in Ireland (possibly Limerick or Tipperary); believe to have died in Ireland. He married Honora O'CONNELL (cousin to “The Liberator” Daniel O’Connell). John / David VAUGHAN was born in Ireland, but was of Welsh descent. Apparently he was a “well to do farmer and a very fine looking young man” according to his granddaughter (Sister Loretta Vaughan of Detroit, Michigan; born 1843).
